Default check engine light on my ctr motor

ok i had a a b16 in my car before

and i got a ctr motor i have a check engine light for 17 vss speed sensor and vtec oil pressor my ctr motor does not have a place for plug for vtec oil presures but my car is already wired up


i also have a vtec controller

Some of the JDM type-r engines dont have the oil pressure sensor provision on the solenoid housing...This is how my ITR was...
Youll have to either use the CTR ecu with the swap or swap in a USDM vtec solenoid housing that has the oil pressure sensor and wire it up...
JDM type-r ecus dont look for the oil pressure switch for vtec...

another way to get around it is if you tap the vtec pressure sensor on to the vtec solenoid wire. Thats how I have it wired up in my hybrid so I wouldn't have to run another wire. Works perfectly!


Check to make sure your vss is plugged in.

ok vss is wokring its pluged in and the spedo works i should use the usdm vtec not the jdm maybe it owuld be better no more check engine lights i will do that tommorrow thanks
