ok so when i cleaned my iacv a couple days ago i noticed there wasnt an oring in there, so i went to honda and bought one. picked it up today put it on. after i put it on, i started the car up and it was still doing the same thing as before (erratic idle, never settling, bouncing between 2000 and 1000rpm), so i went inside for 40 mins calling people asking what could be up. come back and try to start it again, car wont start. it stalls out immediately. i unplug the iacv and start it, it starts and idles really low, but if i give it any gas it stalls out. could it be a bad iacv? also i noticed on the back of my throttlebody (firewall side) i cant see any yellow from the gasket between the throttlebody and intake mani like i can on the top and front side, and when i spray water between the iacv and tps (on backside of throttlebody) i can hear it sucking it in (gargling noise). i have an itr intake mani and a b16 throttlebody, right now theres a brand new b16 throttlebody gasket on there (put it on thursday of last week), do i need an itr throttlebody gasket? wtf is up with my car? HELP! any ideas would be helpful! thanks!

i had the same problem with my car a few months ago and its annoying!!! my problem ended up being my intake manifold gasket was bad. u also could have a vacuum leak somewhere

i just remembered while having the car running w/o the iacv plugged in (so i could datalog hondata and see wat everything was like) i tried plugging the iacv sensor in with the car running, it made a loud noise (kind of like a bang or pop?), car died and i could hear a slight humming noise from somewhere under the hood, couldn't figure out where it was from though. any ideas? could i have messed the sensor up like this? help!
