CF hood questions...
For any of you out there that know about carbon fiber hoods, have them, etc.....I have an EG6 that needs a hood, so I was thinkin' I might as well just get a CF right away. I want a REAL CF hood, not the lame fiberglass-insert, etc. imitations. Any good brand suggestions/preferences? Are Fiber Images real or fake? I also heard Benen are good, but there's no info on their website. And no, I don't have $1,000 to spend on a Spoon one
Thanks, everyone!
Thanks, everyone!

I cannot answer your question because I do not understand 1 of the following:

I do not understand what a "fake" CF hood is. Get a JDMshit one.

Re: CF hood questions... (Ejay Six)
Thanks for the suggestions, guys Basically by "fake," I mean there is no real carbon fiber on/in them. I know there are companies out there that make "CF" hoods that are nothing more than a fiberglass hood with CF overlayment or pattern on top of it. So, do most people have VIS hoods? Any Fiber Image owners out there?
Also, does anyone know about the Benen CF hoods?

Thanks for all the advice. Well I'll start looking into VIS hoods, then. I basically want an OEM-style replacement for my EG6 (ie: no vents, scoops, etc.)...how much did the VIS-peeps on here pay? What would be a real good price for one?
Still looking for info about Benen CF hoods

Re: CF hood questions... (BlkslowCRX)
i got fiber images and they r badass...i want a spoon one tho
only bad thing about cf is when u scratch it or anything happens to it u will start crying cuz they cost so much well FB and spoon.
i might suggest getting the cheapest cf hood 1st then save the money for a spoon one and if u still want it by the time u saved all the money get it
otherwise i no other advice

Seibon always gets mentioned, but I haven't seen anyone with parts from them. They make hatchs too, but I havent seen anyone with one. I think I might get one with my tax returns.

Hhhmm, I might just take you up on that. I'll let u know if I decide to, obviously. Right now I'm just doing research. I prolly won't actually purchase a hood until sometime in May or Even June. Thanks for the responses, everyone

Re: (neocrynym)
I've had one Seibon and one VIS. They are both really good hood but I liked the lock mechanism on my VIS a little better. It was more 'OE' looking.

Re: CF hood questions... (neocrynym)
Try the hoods from Andy from BodyKits NW on this board. I just got mine today and it is much better than my VIs, which is being sold.
