whenever i come to a stop and sit at an idle my CEL wont stop blinking.. But then i start to drive and it stops.. My CEL is always on to begin with since my build but this blinking just started happening recently.. The car is a 99 civic Si EM1 b16 n/a rebuild with about 30k on the motor 150k on the odometer.. Nothing special was done to the block at the time except taken apart and cleaned, micropolished the crank.. the head is a type R head p&pd resurfaced/milled 3 angle valves.. I/H/E aem fuel rail/adj regulator.. I may have missed something but think thats about it, anyone know whats maybe causing this? thanks

Did you pull the codes for the CEL? Sounds like it could be misfiring.

Blinking is when the engine is causing damage to the cat. More than likely your are misfiring. That sucks man. This happened to me year ago and did a rebuild. Good luck.

A blinking CEL indicates misfiring severe enough to damage the cat. As mentioned, pull the codes and post them. (You want to avoid driving as you can damage the engine and destroy the cat, if this has not already happened.) Then reset the ECU and idle the engine briefly to see which codes repeat.
