what year is your car? is the o2 sensor is a direct replacement? if you have to swap out the oem plug then you might have short the o2 sensor.

The 41 code is the heater wire sounds like that wire is shorted out. I had the same prob i had to convert my o2 from a 1wire to a 4wire after awhile i had a issue with my motor coding a 41 on start up i had a loss of power between 3000-4000 rpms. So i rewired the whole o2 to the ecu and BAM things are all better took me awhile to track it down

Ok im going to try to make this as simple as i can. The wires from the o2 that are on the engine harness should go to the ecu!!! You need to look in a shop manual to find out which is the heater wire (color) and rewire that one all the way to the ecu sound like the wireing has burnt out on you!!!

Good luck keep us updated
