Default CEL Code 22 D15B

I have a JDM D15B OBDII 3-stage VTEC motor (I know.. OBDI D15Bs are really hard to find now) in my EG hatch. I have a P28 ECU and obviously the OBD I O2 hooked up and I have no check engine lights. I have only the regular VTEC solenoid hooked up (because you can only plug one into the USDM harness). I am sure it is the regular one and not the vtec-e one because it has the green wire which is usually used to indicate regular vtec. Anyway, the motor is running fine and I am able to redline the car and engage vtec perfectly fine.. until 4th gear. When reaching 6000 RPMs in 4th gear the CEL light comes on (code 22) and I cannot rev any further. Since I am able to engage vtec in every other gear that means that my pressure switch is most likely working. I am not sure what the problem is and I don't know if getting a new vtec pressure switch will fix it. Yes, I have checked the oil level and it is perfect!

Any thoughts?

Just bypass the pressure valve there is no way you have vtec! Use a piece of wire and jump the two wires together.

I don't understand what you're telling me to do. Are you saying that even though I have one of the solenoids hooked up I really don't have vtec? Why would I bypass the pressure valve? Isn't that needed for vtec to engage properly with USDM ECUs..

I don't really understand what that is telling me to do.. I have a VTEC pressure switch already because I know that my P28 looks for one..

Yeah I was gonna try looking for a friend who has one to let me try. I was just asking here first because maybe someone knows that its not the pressure switch or something.

oh i had code 22 last night and today i went to the drawing board after the help from the guy in that thread... just before i was getting ready to switch the pressure switches i figured id tug on the wires since a friend and i recently wired them... turns out one of the wire ties didn't hold so that ended up being my problem

Yeah, I've already tried messing with the wires. I only get the code 22 light when I am going WOT on the highway and almost redlining 4th gear. So thats not quite often..
