sounds like maybe a connector vibrated loose.check all the plugs.maybe try resetting the ECU,see if it comes back.

I had this same Cel on my VX and I cleaned out the filter in the vtec silonoid<sp and it hasnt came on since. Of course this was after I had already bought another switch. So take that thing off and clean it.

i had a vafc in the car it has a obd2->obd1 jumper and I removed the vafc before the swap.....the jumper still remains and there's 1 lose wire. I left the wire un connected but it never caused a cel

there's three possible problems.
1.wiring.check for continuity from the sensor plug to the ECU plug on all associated wiring.
2.sensor.get a manual and troubleshoot the sensor
3.ECU.doubt this is it since it's not giving you any other problems.

not really...if it's the solenoid, you can get a used one of somebody here for a good price.wiring is no problem.like i said above, doubt it's the ECU.
