CEL stays on & isnt throwing a code
Well I had my CEL for #22 which is Vtec pressure so I went ahead and changed the VALVE TIMING OILPRESSURE SWITCH. I unplugged the batt. before I did this like i always do when doing anything to the motor.
Well after I changed it and turned on the car the CEL came on, so I was like okay fine I'll read the code again. But the thing is it isn't throwing a code, It just stays on.
Whats up? Can I get some info on this problem.
Thanks!

Did you leave the jumper wire in the service connector? Otherwise, check for a short in the service connector circuit. Start by inspecting the connector and the BACKUP fuse slot for damage. Another possibility is a bad ECU, though check the circuit first.

Re: CEL stays on & isnt throwing a code
Okay thanks now i got it, its throwing the code now.
its throwing #22 and #6. I thought changing the oil pressure switch would fix #22, and well #6 I don't know why that one is throwing now.

What year/emgine Civic?
Keep in mind that the coolant sensor may be fine and instead the wiring is bad. You should do some troubleshooting before purchasing the sensor, which is the 2-wire one beneath the distributor.

Re: CEL stays on & isnt throwing a code
1995 gsr motor, Yeah i pulled the connector for the coolant sensor to connector to reach the 1-wire temp wire becuase it wasnt connected correctly.
I connected it back on, but I guess its still throwing the code.
I'll check the wiring again, any idea on code 22?
