Default Catalytic converter loudness

Well here's the link to the converter I'm planning on buying...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...&rd=1

Anyone know how loud those can get up to? I have a completely stock engine but I'm gonna get headers, CAI, etc. during the summer once school is over... Disregard state exhaust sound level restrictions... I just wanna know how loud that'll make my car...not in dba levels but i.e. being able to hear the car if I'm driving by and stuff...

what hes looking at is basically just a test pipe,

but it'll probably have some stuff in there that'll deaden sound,
and i'm guessing if a cop looks at it, it should theoretically be able to get
you out of a 2grand ticket because it is sold as a catalytic converter..

as far as emissions go,
i'd be suprized if this cat helps much at all.

even the pricier namebrand catalytic converters dont do near as good a job
as an oem cat.

but of course it depends on your area,
some states are real lax on the smog test, so you might not need much to pass

out here in cali, if you dont have a perfectly working cat, and a clean engine,
you aint passin

but bottom line,
if your worried about emissions, this is NOT the way to go
