Default Carbon Fiber intake manifold is real. (posted it wrong earlier)

First, since I'm new around here I should introduce myself. I own a small racing shop in the Mid-West tayloring to various cars. I tried to post this earlier, but by the time I got around to posting what I was talking about, the thread got moved to the Classifieds (guess they thought I was trying to sell them). Being a "trial User" I couldn't respond.
Anyway, the other day at the track I noticed this Red MR2 turbo with a logo on the hood "AIR" (advanced induction techniques). I talked to him a while and found that he had a company that is making Carbon fiber intake manifolds for Hondas. He popped one out of his truck and this thing is amazing! It is universal fit for the B-16 and B-18 heads. Has adapters for fuel rails and such and pre-threaded bosses for vacuum and everything. Looks real sharp.
He wouldn't tell me everything I wanted to know (I'm still working on that But, here's what I gatherd about it:
It's been in the works for about 2 years undergoing all kinds of testing like flow characteristics, runner and plenum design specifically for the B-16 and B-18 heads. They have been working with Energy Dynamics in Ft. Worth doing design work, dyno testing and flow testing. I suppose you could ask more there for info. However, I was able to get that it will make more power than a good set of cams on a moderately modified n/a. It was also made to be used for turbo and supercharged cars too. As far as cost I couldn't get any definates, but he said, " It makes a lot more power than a set of good cams and should only cost a little more" Whatever that means. Oh, and it weights less than 5 lbs with billet parts. Anyway, thought that you guys would enjoy some info on it. I've been reading on here for a while, but never posted. So, hope this is in the right spot this time. hehe. BTW: I am hoping to become a dealer on this soon, so maybe if all goes well, these things will be readily available. Here are some more pictures of it:

Yeah it looks awesome im guessing that it is around the 800 dollar range since he did say it would cost more then a good set of cams. Am i the only person that actually read the post

they always have been. Look at the F1 cars and Formula SAE cars, McLarens, Ferrari's, etc

i don't think it will fit inside the engine bay...it's looks like it's gonna hit the firewall.

He did say that it would fit stock cars. I don't know about swaps though. Looks like I have a lot of questions to ask.

if for some reason it won't fit a hybrid, then this product is worthless. there just isn't very many actual integra/si owners who are willing to spend 800+ on an intake manifold.

seriously. and if it does fit, and you break a motor mount and it goes back into the firewall(cuz you know it looks like it barely clears it, if at all), and it cracks or chips, and you got some nice CF pieces going into your cylinders.

Billet and Carbon Fibre are the symptoms for Expensive.

anyway, how does the cf manifold improve performance?
less heat? less weight?[if weight is at all an issue]
and of course i guess it will be bigger...

That's because it's strong and light.

The IM looks good. I'd like to see more info about it though. Thanks for letting us know Medpilot
