Carbon fiber hatch for EG HB???
I saw this pic on JDMShit.com from a Honda-Tech meet:
I would like to get a CF hatch for my EG but the only company so far that i've found on google who lists one is Arospeed.
does anyone know if the cf hatch in this pic is from arospeed? if so, how is the quality and fitment of the Arospeed ones?
If it's not Arospeed, where can I find it or one like it other than arospeed?
thanks H-T

Re: (TeStUdO)
i am planning to do alot of autox'ing with my HB so i'd like to get lightweight parts and i'm going to build a SOHC VTEC motor (75lb less weight than B-series) out of the car since SOHCs aren't very exp to get ahold of

Re: (King Tut33)
so far it looks like VIS is the way to go because Arospeed wants like 682 for theirs.
plus I haven't really read anything yet about Arospeed but i've heard good things about VIS

Had mine on for about 6 months with no problems. Uses all the factory rubber seals.

If it's an EK, DC, or EF, yes, you can transfer the glass.

You would retain the glass, as Rodrez mentioned, the CF hatch uses the factory rubber seals from the old one because you are just changing the bottom piece(on the EG).
If you're referring to an EK hatch, a friend of mine just "transferred" his glass over, once again, retaining the factory rubber seals on his CF hatch...
Both were from VIS...I wasn't sure if you're referring to the EG or EK, so i hope this info helps...

Re: (opi)
i did some searching around through this and other boards and from what i've read JDMShit has some pretty decent stuff and VIS is pretty much on par as well. i'm definitely going to go with VIS for the carbon EG hatch when I can afford it (laid off right now and Canada's Unemployment Insurance benefits unfortunately don't pay extra for Honda-building budgets ).
I checked out Arospeed's site and I like the carbon door B-pillar covers and the rear interior decklid (I have the factory cloth covered decklid and it's slowly beginning to split from opening and closing it so much) so i know i'll eventually end up getting those as well. Combine those with the cf hatch, Spoon-style cf mirrors, lip, upper spoiler and OEM-style hood and i'll be set
Thanks for all the replies H-T and keep em comin for anyone else who might need the info

Re: (HATCHingMN)
That's a pretty big can o' worms
It depends on who you ask...for me rice is something that is added for show/entertainment value that doesn't add any performance benefit to the car. Add to that double rice value if it's a cheaply made product that performs worse than stock.
In this case, you are saving weight, and it's a well made product (at least VIS stuff is well made) so it's not rice.
My personal opinion on all carbon fiber exterior pieces is that they look better on a black car or painted the same color as the car, though
