Carbing 3pt STB w/ Tein EDFC motors, I need help!!
Here is the Carbing 3pt STB on my 99 Si

Will the Tein EDFC motor clear the Carbing STB? I know that strut bars that mount at the factory location, i.e. the OEM Si and Mugen strut bar, will not work. The reason is because these motors are fairly big and protrude up too high.
The Carbing, however, mounts on top of the shocks. But even still, the motors would still appear to be awfully close to the vertical walls of the Carbing side mounts. Anyone have this combo? Opinions on whether everything will clear or not?
Here are some pics I found of the motors mounted on a 99-00 Si

I'll be ordering a set of Tein FLEX coilovers later this week, but the EDFC is still up in the air right now because I don't know if it will fit.

Umm...it looks as if it would work.
*shrug*
Seems like you might have to go this alone, as I bet the number of people with the EDFC and the Carbing bar would be very small.

That's not true.
The only obstacle is finding a front STB that will work with it. One that is guaranteed to work with the EDFC is the Spoon STB. It mounts on top of the shocks, and the side brackets are completely flat. There's no obstructions anywhere.
Maybe it's a good thing that I skipped on the EDFC. I might just find a setting that's a good compromise and just leave it there. Although I still like the 3 preset setting feature: one for highway driving, one for city driving, one for drag racing, one for road racing, one for mountain runs, one for love making heh

Re: (Ass_Clown)
Fast forward 1 year..............
Is anyone running this combo right now?? (Carbing 3pt + Tein EDFC)
I'd be bummed ordering the EDFC only to find out that the motors won't clear the Carbing. The EDFC is next on my list of things to buy, but I need some sort of confirmation first.

Re: (Draggin99Si)
I don't know if this helps, but this was on my friends ITR with Carbing/EDFC, just barely cleared. As far as I know, the Carbing EG and DC bar is the same.
