you're sure the battery has enough power to start the car? Sounds like you've been killing your battery every night a bit at a time and it finally kicked the bucket. Once you get it started take it to an checker or autozone and have them test it.

Clean the battery connectors and posts really well and, if you have a manual tranny, try a push start.

battery is fine and the post are clean those were the first things i checked. i would push start it but i have no one to help right now. my gf tried to start it so i could hear what was happening. it sounds like the starter is stuck. it pops out and doesn't turn.

I really think your battery is low. Pull it out and take it to an auto parts store for charging. This is typically a free service.

While the battery is charging, put the front end on stands and the transmission in neutral and then try to turn the crankshaft pulley bolt (17-mm) counterclockwise with a breaker bar. This will tell you whether or not the engine seized up.

Do you have a multimeter to verify the battery voltage?

it reallly sounds like your battery is dead, if you keep on leaving that domelight on every night it will kill your batter(wont hold charge). try jump starting it with another car.

also clean battery terminals, clean the connectors to the starter too.

On my EK Civic, the interior dome light has a switch on it to prevent it from turning on when the door is open. I thought EGs did, too, and if so flick it off.

Like above, I think your battery is shot...go get it checked.

I definitely think it's your starter. I have a 94 integra and it had the same symptoms with the one click everytime you try to start it. If it was your battery, a common symptom is a fast clicking sound each time you turn the key to 'start' as apposed to one click. If, after trying to start and the dome lights and dash lights have its 'normal' brightness, then replace the starter and you should be good to go.

most probably the starter. as was said above, a dead battery would make a series of multiple clicks. Try a jump-start, if anything. test the battery's voltage, and see what it's at.

but the bad news is the starter is most probably gone. you can of course have them rebuilt, and a rebuild works just great.
it'll save you some cash, but the time it takes to have it rebuilt may not be worth the time spent buying a new one, from what you're saying about it being your only car and all..

but definitely look into battery voltage.

the eg's do have a small switch to shut off the dome light, it does sound a lot like the battery, i had same problem after i did my b swap. it would keep draining the battery, i would take it to autozone and after they charged it still said the battery was good. bought new battery and fixed my doors and problem went away

battery had an 84% charge.. got a new starter and it started right up. the doors are dent down so in order to shut them you have to left up on them. the car is just a beater for now, i just bought it to take the time to finish my ls/vtec build for my coupe. its almost done. finish one project then start another, the hatch will be fixed after my coupe.ill have a post of the build soon. anyways thanks for all the input.
