car wont stay running without holding the key
ok so i just bought my first del sol. its a 93 SI for a steal. we found out it runs and drives but you have to hold the key between the on position and the start position to keep it running. my first thought is the ignition cylinder. any ideas what it could be? if i need more info please let me know

Thanks for the excellent thread title.
FYI -- It's possible to replace just the electrical part of the switch, which is probably the problem, rather than the entire lock cylinder.

How would I do that? I wanted to keep my key so this seems like a great idea. Any idea what it would be called?

You can buy the electrical part of the switch on eBay from reputable dealers. Also check in the H-T Marketplace when you are past Trial User status.

Ill check the fuses too. I noticed the part numbers for my car and a eg civic are the same. Are there ny other vehicles that it crosses it over to?
