Default car wont start....whines nd whines

i didnt even know how to begin a search on this......my car has been sittin for a couple of weeks now. i had a bad tranny and finally it finished goin; it stuck in 2nd gear. car sat there but would still start. last week i tryed starting it, it took a bit almost like tha battery was weak, anyways it started but died. i tried to start it again it tha starter started making a different sound, like a RC car sound, not tha signature honda start . anyways it also seemed like tha battery was diein so i stopped nd left it alone. tryed a few days later nd still had tha weak battery nd rc whine. tryed jumpin tha car today, battery got fully charged, but nothing it just whined alot faster whine tho.

my question is: could this be caused by tha bad tranny? or wut could cause this whine?

ps..i can smell tha gas so i am gettin fuel, nd i do have spark

ppss.. this started when i accidently forgot that cylinder 2 didnt have tha ignition wire in, dont know if that relevent

*****Update*****
ok, i put gas in it and still nothing..i tried a few times, but my battery was weak so i had it hooked up to a home plug in charger, i kept trying because it sounded like it was about to start. After a few more trys, tha starter just stoped making noise all together now i turn tha key and absolutly nothing happens .....and i know its not a dead battery because it was still hooked up to tha charger

Sounds to me like your starter has gone bad.

im betting ur timing belt snapped. Check the timing belt or take out the dist cap and see if the rotor turns if not, then u know the timing belt snapped.

i get spark, in order...so that would mean my dizzy rotor is spining which would mean my belt has not snapped

thanks...yeah i think im getting fuel because after trying to crank it for a bit i could smell it, but also i was below tha red on "e" when i stopped using tha car so i'll put some in lol......yeah thats my fear, that tha starter has gone bad, its always a chain of problems 4 me ..i've been tryin 2 get extra money 4 a trans 4 months now so if tha starter is bad & its too much 4 another 1, then tha cars goin up 4 sale

.any ideas on how 2 check if tha starter is bad or not? just 2 be possitive

Supply power directly to the starter to test. If it doesn't crank the engine but the battery is fine, then you likely need to replace.

Has it turned over sinced it died on you. Sounds like your just not getting enough power. Let the charger charge the battery for a hour or so. THen try it again or switch a good battery in.

I had the battery hooked up to the charger and pluged in as i messed with the car, the lights and all electrical stuff were as bright as normal and everything that would work with tha key in just the "on" possition worked..except the car did crank at all when i turned the key. I heard the fuel pump priming and the lights on the cluster light up and everything is normal except the motor wont crank at all. My guess it tha starters gone, but i just want to be possitive.

sounds like your batt has low cranking amps. charge it for a couple hrs or overnight. do you have a multimeter? check to see if it's fully charged. have one person check the starter to see if it's getting 12v at the same time the other person is cranking it over
