car wont start when cold
i have a 93 civic ex 1.6 stock and im getting fuel pressure and also spark but car wont start .I just changed the coil in the dizzy about a month ago when it went bad .Now i got spark and got fuel but car wont start also just changed out the main relay only does this once in a while. Did this few times before and held gas to floor and then started to sputter and wait couple minutes then it would start.Any suggestion what it might be

is this a good way to test it the coil and icm or anyone know a better way ?
Use a test light. Clamp the alligator clip on the positive terminal of your battery and touch the probe to the negative side of you coil. Have someone crank the engine over and look for a flashing light (interrupted ground). If it is interupted, replace the coil. If it does not flash, replace the ICM. I've seen way more ICM's go out than coils.

when yiou changed your distributor, did you tighten everything down right? nothing loose?

have you tested your ICM (igniter)? its a good idea to change out the igniter when you change out the coil. one tends to go out not too long after you replace the other.
go here to find out how to test your ICM.....

Re: (DAVE15401)
you might not have enough compression to start it cold so check that. if its a high mileage engine you might want to do a rebuild. if you have a big turbo that requires low base compression then you might get yourself a freezeplug block heater, the best quality for your car will come from your local honda dealership.
