Car wont start first time, I have to start it a second time. What could this be
I always seem to have to crank my car twice to get it to start, I dont understand I have a new starter, new alt, I messed with the fuel pump could this maybe have something to do with it..
It is annoying the car runs great besides this, no codes,
also it is a 92 civic cx, b18

Does your check engine light come on when it doesn't start the first time? I've had this problem before, and I found out that some oil managed to get onto my spark plugs. Check that out; you'll need to replace the gaskets if that's the case. Hope this helps!

check to make sure the fuel pump is priming each time.. you need to keep fuel pressure so check that also.. mine had a short in the wire once.. i had to run a new wire... wasnt as bad as it sounds..
also i've noticed that honda's wont start up right away when the fuel tank is almost empty.. not exactly sure why that is.

listin for the fuel pump to prime as said above, my old hatch did this in the summer because it would get hot and the solder points on the main relay wouldnt connect.
I had to pull the main relay and add extra solder to all the points, it never did it again.

when you go to start you car dont just slap the key in and turn it instantly
when you put your key in and turn it till the lights turn on your check engine light will illuminate for a few seconds and then it should turn off when the fuel pump is turned on. you will hear the main relay click and the light will turn off.
then you turn key and start the car. it should start on the first crack.
i have a friend with low brain cell count and he always is dumbfounded when his 2000 gsr turns on in one crank when i drive it. when he drives it he usually has to crank it twice

thanks everyone,
yes I do turn the koeo and hear the fuel pump prime, I know for a fact I am getting psi, also I have pulled my fuel pump out, and had to put it back in cause I was trying to use my 255lp walbaro but when I had that in it would not start...? so I put the stock pump back in but I am stumped on this,,
No I seen that someone said something about a fuel pump relay, and soldering the main relay...more info on this would be great maybe a photo...
