Default Car turns over but doesnt want to start!!

my friend has a 96 civic ex stock motor it doesnt want to start, there is no spark and for some wierd reason when you dont push in the clutch to start the car the motor still turns over and it never did that b4? i was thinkin it maybe the distributer?? but im prolly wrong any1 that can help me out?

Alright, so your clutch safety switch went out. Not really a big deal, if you like it then replace it, otherwise just jump the wires. If you look at the clutch pedal there should be 2 switches, the lower one if for cruise control, and the upper one is the one you're looking for.

did u change all the spark plugs sense you arent getting any spark. once u do that try and jump the car.

Yeah, now that I'm thinking about it; how did you test for spark? Did you just pull it out and look for spark, or did you gound the plug to something?

Okay, well there is your problem. You need to take the wire and plug out, put the plug in the wire, and then ground the plug onto something. Try touching the plug to bare meta located on the car somewhere and then try turning it over and looking for spark.

ok kool so say i get spark wat could the problem be? and what if i dont get spark? if i dont get spark i was thinkin it could be the distributer? could it be?
