my timing belt is greddy and installed about 5k miles ago. my car was just recently tuned. everything is fine except that it dies i have no leaks that i am aware of. no wierd noses when i drive. sounds fine except that it makes a bogging noise when the idle drops and then just turns off. there is no check engine light on. i will check the fuel pump..in the mean time...any other suggestions on whats wrong with it?

last thing...in the mornings...or when the car is cold....sometimes(not all the time) the idle will jump up and down from 700-1000 back and forth for like a minute
anything new....

i got 20 bucks on the ivac, the ivac has 2 bolts holding it down, take it off, don't worry about the coolant lines and get some carb cleaner..
spray the **** out of it, see if the screen has anything in it, junk etc, just clean the crap out of it, also, your fuel filter.wouldn't hurt to replace it, but if the ivac doesn't help, check the fuel filter next

This **** happend on my probe.
Changed IACV and TB, nothing.
Started to create surging idle, then like 3 or 4 times it'd just go out....ot it'd keep surging...or sometimes it'd straighten out.
As much of a bitch as it was I never did figure out what was wrong with it before I sold it.

this sounds like a vac leak.. maybe im wrong but i dont think vac leaks usually kill the motor.. they usually do the opposite and make it idle extra high. but in anycase you are going to want to fix the vac leak.
in response to the motor dying try taking a voltmeter to the battery terminals with the car running.. should read +13volts.. if its less your alternator needs to be replaced or maybe the belt is loose.
if the alternator is inefficient then it is not supplying enough charge to keep the car running and it seems to die when u stop because the amount of power supplied by the alternator is relative to the rpm of the crank pulley. less rpm (stop) = less voltage to keep motor running
cliffs notes : check battery voltatge with motor on .. V<13 then new alternator or loose belt
surging = vac leak most likely

Ignition wires?
my '94 EX was giving me problems (weird idle, surging rpm, stalled out, etc.); as it turned out, one of my ignition wires was bad
