Is this car trade worth it?

Is this car trade worth it?
I may be trading my 97 EX Coupe for a 97 CX Hatchback. My Coupe(D16Y8) is in 8/10 overall condition, nothing wrong with it, just not perfect. The hatchback on the other end, has 3 separate exterior parts damaged, and a water damaged engine. Would it be worth it if I were to replace the damaged exterior with the exterior from my coupe and trade?

EX: almost the highest trim level. VTEC, and it sounds like it's in better shape.
CX: Most base model offered. That one sounds kinda rough.
If you're going purely off what they're worth, then no. If you really want a hatch and are replacing the motor, it's your call. I'd say ask for money on top, enough to fix the hatch. Then get parts from a junkyard and pocket the difference to put towards something else on the hatch.

Exactly. No one can tell you if it's worth it (good gawd these threads...), it's YOUR call. And for what it's worth:

Id say it depends on what your doing. Tracking it or daily driver or whatever. Seems like that EX was your daily and unless you utterly need the lack of interior trim, power windows, sunroof, air bags and cd player (probably more stuff too) then don't go for it. Why would you choose to go with a crappier car unless your really wanted to drive a baby odessy. You might as well drive a station wagon you probably look more masculine in that.
EX better engine and better accessories. Sure its heavier but who cares it looks cleaner. Plus the coupes chassis is stronger than a hatchback go look it up. The hatches have a gaping whole where the rear deck should be. Rear decks on coupes help for structural rigidity if your tracking it (with out a roll cage). But sedans are the best for racing because of b-pillar.
CX hatch back just is lame go ahead be my guess to jump on the hatch back band wagon but sounds like bad engine and body damage = more head ace and money.
Good luck on that man make a good decision.
