i have a 2000 civic si with the stock motor all i have done is a AEM CAI and Greddy EVO full cat back exhaust. but my check engine light came on a while back and found the code was the TPS sensor. which it has came on before and went away shortly after it would just have some idle trouble when cold. so i was puttin it off till i got the money for a new one. but tonite i was sitting in my car waiting on a friend and pulled out never turned the car off and pulled out and it started acting like it was misfiring and was sputtering like something horrible. then the check engine light began to flash on and off and never stopped. so i took it home and parked it. i then changed the plugs and wires and its still running the same. i dont want to take it to the delearship cause it will cost so much for them to fix unless its a major problem. does anyone have any ideas? i have searched and there are similar problems but most of the rest say nothing about the check engine light flashing or some either have the problem at idle or cruise where as mine is at both. please help me thanks.

Old thread but i am having the same thing happen to me right now any one know what it might be. mines happining at partial throttle and at idle and i have to full rev it for it to stop

dude i had to rip apart my head and replace 4 valves cause my car was sending way to much fuel to my motor and burnt a hole right thru my exhaust valves on the 3rd cylinder. wasnt fun but that was my problem, doubt this is urs cause mine was constantly sputtering and got worse the more i drove until it just started to quit when i was pushing throttle.
