Car shut off in the middle of the street.
Hi today i was driving my eh3 and it shut off on me. I was at a light and when i started to roll and drove off it just shut off and wouldnt turn back on, the car has a d15b block and a z6 head. The car just randomly shut off. I just put fuel ,full tank about 12 miles before it shut off. My battery reads 12.8 volts and when i turn to turn it over it reads 11.9. Any help is appriciated.

Re: Car shut off in the middle of the street.
Check to c if ur fuel pump is working, this jus happened to me in my ej2 a few wks ago. I jus put $15 in the tank, i started it, it ran for 2sec then **** off n wouldnt start. My main relay sh*t the bed so id check that. Also a DA i built a few yrs back **** off in the middle of me driving it n that 1 ended up bein my ecu. Make sure the main relay is clicking n the fuel pump works n if it does take ur ecu outa the car n pull the lid n c if nethings burnt.

Not sure if this might be your problem, but it can be your ignition switch. My EK used to shut off out of nowhere at unexpected times. When I would try to turn the car on, it would die right after. The engine would turn on then off almost immediately. Sometimes I would get stuck on the side of the road or even the freeway for 10 minutes until the car finally turned on. If your car is having similar symptoms like the ones I used to have, then it's time to replace that ignition switch. (It's not that expensive, and it's easy to replace)

Re: Car shut off in the middle of the street.
I am kind of in the same boat at the moment.
I swapped a d16 in my 95 along with a complete ex harness for the power options. Went to go meet up with someone and not even 5 minutes down the road my engine just died on me. All it does when i turn in the key is hear the timing belt spin.
When i turn the key, check engine light comes on and off as usual and my fuel pump is working too.i know my starter is in good condition too since its practically brand new and wouldnt cause the engine to die while driving (i dont think). So only thing i can think of is an ignition problem. My CEL light also never came on when the engine died. only my oil and battery light. Everything still gets power so my battery shouldnt be at fault.
I also swapped the engine a couple months ago and was running cherry. Did the harness about 2-3 weeks ago and car still ran perfect.
Note that the swap i did wasnt a complete d16 swap. Needed to get my car running so i put in a D16y7 from a 97 lx and put various D15 parts since they were compatible and so my car is still running obd1.
What i think is the main issue is that my distributor went out (d15 dizzy). It was pretty beat up when i bought the car. Rotor wasnt screwed in but somehow still ran,was replaced twice since i bought the car earlier this year, and properly screwed it in the 2nd time around. The inner cap (told it was just a dust cover lol) is broken in a few places. A friend has been meaning to come by to check the car out but been almost a week since the the incident.
Just recently started getting into honda's so dont know much.
I have a friend who helps me with the car lol. but he has been mia as of late
i am hoping to try to get the car running.
Sorry if it seems like i am jacking your thread.
Just looking on some insight since your problem seems relevant to mine too.
Edit: Uploaded a video to the youtubes.
