Car for this price...with the repairs needed, should I buy?
I am looking at a 98 Civic EX, 80000 miles, stock. The guy is asking $5500. It needs about $1200 work just to get it back to excellent condition. Here is what it needs:
Drivers side window whistles
Replace inner fender and air resonator
Adjust trunk latch
Replace the rear window rubber seal
Replace both outer CV Boots
Adjust rear brakes
Replace front brakes
Replace the gas lid latch
I am thinking I should talk this guy down...or should I just not even mess with this car anymore? I am buying from someone on Ebay....

i'd do it,just sounds like minor cosmetic things,as long as the motor is ok and the interior isn't too bad.
