car isnt running right
ok so heres the situation. my 1992 civic had a bad distributor so it wouldnt start. got that fixed. now it starts and runs and stuff. so anyways im out driving it and all of a sudden it just shuts off. i try to start it a few times and it wont start. anyways i try it again about 20 min later the car starts. so im driving it again and i start to accelerate quick and the car cuts out a few times and stalls. i try to start it and it wont start so me and some buddys push it to my house. i wait about 4 hours and then just out of curiosity i try to start it and it starts right up. it still cuts out randomly though. i have no idea what could be wrong with it and im lookin for anyones advice on it. also if i rev the motor when the rpms go back down to idle the car stalls out.

this same thing happened on my mazda 626, i always thought it was something in the fuel line, so i changed the fuel filter, nothing, i sold it before i could change the pump but i think that may be your problem, try getting a new pump
first though i would try replacing regular matinence stuff, like cap, rotor, plugs, wires, ect.

Re: car isnt running right (Hondaboy816)
check throttle wire for tesion, and clean out the throttle body opening, if the plate gets stuck closed car will die, usually revving high and opening it wide then letting go lets it slam down and get it stuck harder...that dirt gets sticky when hot...then wen cold it can start cuz plate could open...could be it?...
