car doesnt rev past 4300. any suggestions
no cels. chipped ecu it says on the front rev is 7300. just got the car a few days ago and im tryin to get it goin. it runs and drives fine but it wont rev past 4300. im thinkin that the chip is set at 4300. thanks in advance

my friend's accord did something like this. it was running out of oil, and either trying to protect itself from oil starvation or it didn't have enough oil pressure to engage vtec.

what chip are you using?
if you answer ebay, ditch it and find the correct ECU for your motor and go from there.

its an sst. i gonna try a new base map and see what happens. i just got the car so im not sure what the hells goin on with it. it sounds like rev limiter to me.

My turbo ls motor did that after hours of being on the dyno. It ended up being a thermostat ground so check that just in case.

does your speedometer work. Because if the ecu thinks its going 0 mph then it will use launch control all the time. (if programmed)
