Car died while driving...!!!
Hey everyone! I'm brand new to the site, found it while looking up "2000 Honda Civic under hood pics" on google. I was trying to find out where this piece I found in my engine actually GOES in my engine. My car died while I was driving, after it had been running for about 10 minutes. Was weird. I had not had any problems with it in a long time. We checked all of the usual stuff - oil, battery, etc, etc. Hopefully someone can identify the piece in the pics! And, just so everyone knows, I really don't know much about cars, and by much, I mean nothing. Thank you!

It look like it's a ground wire, maybe that's why your car died cause something is not grounded some alarms disable your car if they are not ground or a wire is disconnected.

Nope, not an aftermarket alarm system. The wire goes into the car directly next to the steering column, so, could possibly be for the alarm system. My dad thought it was a ground wire as well, and maybe you're right, maybe it being detached disabled the car. Where would it re-attach though? Thank you Intake and Ron!
