My D16Z6 feels as fast as my friends B16. Will not be on a dyno sheet, but feels as fast on the but dyno. The B16 is just not an impressive motor. Get a dyno sheet to back up your 165HP claim.

this is stupid.
apparently the guy w/ the alleged 165hp d16 is lying and the guy who opened this post doesn't know what he is talking about either...
Someone asked if his B16 was JDM and he took offense to it... WTF?
It was a legit question, cause unless its a JDM B16, and its stock, its not putting out 170.

First, he never asked if it was JDM or not. He also never asked if it was STOCK!. And i never said it was stock, nor did i say anything about my car, besides my car having 170 HP and having a B16.
Second, my friend bought this car, he doesn't know much about it. All i know is that i've driven it, it feels just as fast as mine and the company that he bought it from, who i know, said the car has 165 horse. I never said that the engine was stock. I was just curious how you'd achieve this on that motor.

1. 98CTRCoupe asked if it was JDM.
2. You responded to splitime and said that you had a B16, you didn't correct him when he asked if you were stock (which was also in the same quote; if it wasn't stock, you should have said so.)
3. You probably just didn't know any better - difference between usdm and jdm B16s.

Even on built internals.
165 hp is very hard to do N/A. It would definatly need a cam, ignition and fuel tuning, and more displacement.

Sounds like a load of horsepucky to me. Besides, the dealership he bought it from is hardly a reliable source of information. Probably tell you it had a coffeemaker if they thought it would get it off the lot.

Yes, 165 hp is possible on D. BUT you need high comp piston, cams, head works, intake, header, exhausts... and someone name Bisimoto to tune your car.
