I was thought it's OBDII (1997 engine). Now I'm wondering. Is there anyway to tell from these pics?

judging by the valve cover (if it hasnt been changed to that valve cover) that is a 92-93.

It's either 94-95 or 96-00 for sure. It's a b18b1.

I think the previous owner bought the VC because it's powdercoated.

do you know for sure if that is the stock ecu that came with the motor? as long as it's not a different LS ecu the exact date it left the factory should still be stamped on it.

It must be OBDII. Look at this OBDI dizzy and OBDI ecu.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by WhiteOnRice &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Where is the date stamped?</TD></TR></TABLE>

it should be stamped on the side with what looks like someone literally had a black ink stamp with the date on it.

I.E. my p28 says Mar. 23 1995 since it was out of my friends 95 civic EX whereas my p06 from my 4 door says Dec. 11 1991 on it.

Look at my dizzy then look at the obdI I posted above. Mine has more wires. The ecu also says A03 on mine, not A01. I think it must be OBDII

<FONT COLOR="red">Theres a black breather box on the back of the block - Block itself is obd1 (period)</FONT>
Intake manifold is obd2 because of the port on top for the evap
p75 came in obd1 and obd2

<FONT COLOR="red">As far as the head, read the year stamp above the 3rd runner -&gt; (9|x)</FONT>

You canNOT look at things like the valvecover, dizzy, alternator, etc since those things are easily swapped around.

I know, it's all I got. I was thinking the ecu/dizzy would be differentiable. The engine is 50 miles from me now (parents house)

So if the head is OBDII and the block is OBDI. The car is still running like it's OBDII right? OBDII ecu?

I'll get other pics when I go to my parents.

the engine is going to run how the ecu tells it to
thats really all that matters unless youre getting the car smogged

other than 2ndary o2 and some other minor things, obd1 and obd2 p75 ecus are exactly the same anywys...just like the engines themselves

Only way to tell is looking at the head stamps. Seriously (like pdiggity said) everything that can be attached to a motor can be either obd0, obd1, obd2A, obd2B. That does not mean **** when it comes to the motor itself. Motor itself is marked by the head, the block is really hard to tell except for different sensors.

the dizzy is obd2 and the ecu is a obd2 as for the block and head, on the head there is a stamp upper left side there is a square that will say p75-? is it is a dash 1 than its a obd1 if it says dash 2 than its a obd2. as for the block I dont know anyway of telling if it is obd1 or obd2

Because everything you have to go with it is obd1, the p75 ecu is obd1,obd1 intake manifold,obd1 distributor........ If you want a better answer you need to take better pics, take a pic of the front of the engine, the stamping on the head above where the header goes. Does the block have a green vin tag on it??

If thats the original valve cover then its OBD1 94-95. But P75 came in both OBDI and OBDII. Then your dizzy looks to be OBDII. I dont know...

I'm sure that valve cover came on the b18a in the 90-93 integra, but it could easily be put on a b18b head. Maybe someone put a b18a1 head on a b18b.. Maybe he should take a pic of the plugs on the ecu, and the stamping on the head, and the stamping on the block.
