Get approved for a loan and I will sell you my:
--1992 Honda Civic CX
--B18C1 GSR OBDI engine just rebuilt last month with R pistons and rings, ACT street/strip clutch, new gaskets, valve seals, Engine has been properly broken in with oil changes every 500 miles. Oil has stayed solid color not black. R red Valve cover, new distributor cap, rotor, compression tested at 255psi across the board.
--Inside - $1500 sound system. 6 speaker system with Subwoofer.
Diamond Audio components, Soundstream Rubicon 12" woofer, Sony MPX6100 stereo with remote, Kicker amp powers speakers, Autotek 300Watt powers sub.
Clock -- no AC but if you pay for the bracket I will add it
Tach shift light.
--Outside - Just painted Red pearl with metallic flakes, buddy club front and rear kit, still have factory bumper if wanted.
--Wheels -- ALT 210 -- only 15.5 lb wheel. 16" rims with Nitto Drag Radial up front and NT555R in back, WHEELS ARE 4 MONTHS OLD.

Very nice car. Don't want to get rid of but if the price is right its sold. Have receipts for all the work done to it, from stereo to paint job to body kit and the rebuild with new clutch.

Its not as slow as most make it out to be.I hold my own against lighter,b16 powered cars that everyone said would "devestate" me.

Oh duh, cool!!!
I like the 02 Si. It may be my next project car. Don't know, I guess thats why I may sell my 92 Hatch.

Pros: Nice seats, steering wheel, shift ****.
Faster than a Dodge Grand Caravan.
Cons: Ugly Ford Focus front end and a back that reminds me of retarded VWs.

Pros HONDA cant sell it like they did back in 99-00 **** the temucula honda dealer is selling them in the paper for 16,900 when they sticker at 19,440 not bad I would jump on this for a daily driver but dont have the green
I guess you would call that a PRO and they respond better to boltons than that B series motors. BUt I still love my 99 and will never part with her

Re: Can SomeOne Tell Me The Pro's and Con's Of the '02 Civic Si (I drive a wrx wagon)
my bro recently got one and at first i hated it, but after driving it around, SUPRISINGLY it has some punch. we raced ONCE because he wanted to break it in, it has a strong 1st and 2nd gear but after that there's not much going on. we just recently ordered some TEIN springs and the fiberglass TypeR kit and i'll post pix of it when it's finished. all in all, it's fairly nice, the interior kicks the crap outta my car but you all know the dc2 interior is just "eh".

u DONT race it to break it in!!!!! ur gonna kill it...the first 3000 miles is critical to ur car....dont race it

I would like to hear more from the actual OWNERS os the 2002 Si rather than those of us who don't have one or worse, haven't even driven one.
Looks like it performs about as well as the 1999-2000 Civic Si did when it came out, so you all ripping on the 2002 Si are also ripping on the 1999-2000 Si as well.
Only thing I'll say is for a LOT less loot you could build a much faster hybrid.
But if you want a warranty and that new car smell, and you have just under $20,000 to spend then I guess the choice would be between the 2002 Si and the base RSX. Same engine and probably nearly the same weight.

Am I the only non-owner that thinks the 02 SI looks really good?
The new Si is a torquey ****. Peak torque comes in at around 3k.

Re: Can SomeOne Tell Me The Pro's and Con's Of the '02 Civic Si (DragonCTR69)
I run side by side with my friends bolt on 99-00s.The car has GREAT lowend, which offsets the weak topend. If this thing had a hair more topend,it would be a 99-00 killer.Ive let my friends drive it(all 99-00 Si owners) and they even said that it FEELS slow, but its NOT,and that was proven during some races from a stop and roll.It has a very decieving feel compared to the 99-00,where you feel like you are hauling *** but you really arent. Its the opposite in the 02.Dont feel like you are going anywhere, but that 00Si is working its *** off to stay close.Ive raced MANY 00s with my 02,and its the same thing everytime.I kill them through 1-2nd,then at the TOP of third we are dead even, and the 00 pulls ahead about a carlegnth in 4th.True,unbiased info from someone who can actually drive the 02 worth a ****.

Re: Can SomeOne Tell Me The Pro's and Con's Of the '02 Civic Si (Charged2000Si)
Really the only thing I can think of is I hated the headrests on the rear seat and the engine bay looks really cramped (probably not the easiest to work on) and I dont like the fact that they flipped the motor.
I dont think it looks bad at all (The spoon one is fawkin sick) and like someone else mentioned the 2.4 liter hybrids will probably own a lot of us shortly.
that s my 2 cents

Re: Can SomeOne Tell Me The Pro's and Con's Of the '02 Civic Si (wheresmyvxhb)
i owned a 2000 civic si, I now own a 2002 civic si.
do i miss my 2000 si? when I didn't have a car I sure did, but after i bought my 2002, nope, not at all.
my 2002 FEELS faster, and most likely is faster. contrary to what most people are saying, my 2002 has GREAT top end pull. In fact, that's where i consider it's strength to be, esp considering that 2, 3, 4, and 5th are all closer on the 2002 than on the 2000. The biggest weakness is the rpm drop on the 1-2 upshift. that KILLS me in races off the line, as well as the fact that I can't launch the car above 2000rpm or I get uncontrollable wheelspin.
so far, i've toasted an ek hybrid coupe on the highway, we ran repeatedly from about 60-80 on up to the top of 4th gear (110).
I have a friend with a GS-r, iceman, dc 4-2-1 header, CM 10lb flywheel, CM stage 3 clutch, and I would put a car on him in 3rd, but he's got more room in 3rd, so i'd have to upshift to 4th, he'd pull even, and start to pass, but i'd get the revs back up, and then we'd shut down around 100mph.
raced an accord v6, '95ish on the highway, had at least an intake, and exhaust, lowered, meaty tires, I pulled on him in every gear except 5th where we'd run even before we shut down.
at the auto-x, the car feels more soild, and has much better balance in stock trim than my 2000. with better tires, i'd be running the same times as the 6th gen si's running in STS.
oh, and i beat the times of a ford focus SVT.
all of this on a fully stock car.
and she dyno tested at 148hp on a 96 degree day, with nearly 50% humidity up in the mountains of north GA.
