ok, ecus's....
Is your gsr
obd1
or
obd2a or obd2b?
the itr ecu is obd2b only
SOO unless your gsr is obd2b, it wont work without a jumper
youre being too general with your questions............there is more than one answer

Re: (pdiggitydogg)
see thats what i needed to know, i have an OBD 1 GSR ecu, i was told from another person that i could buy there OBD 1 type R ecu and it would run fine, i then talked to another that said it was not possabe, soo what i got from this is, there is no OBD 1 type R ecu, even if i was running an OBD 2 car, it would not work because its OBD2b, thank you very much you have saved me some money

A P73-003 is a JDM OBD2a ITR ecu, and a P73-G01 is an EDM OBD2a ITR ecu.
All USDM P73's are OBD2b.
If I may ask, why do you want to run an ITR ecu? Did you change out your intake manifold, and you'd rather just swap the ecu than chip one?

Possibly. I don't know how much USDM p73's cost, but JDM ones run $200+
