Yes you can do it. It's just not legal. But that does not stop a large amount of people. It is deffinately do-able.

MOMO steering wheels are very popular.... thus you won't have a problem installing it in your si...

it def can be done, it is up to you whether or not you want to roll around with no srs, the light also may remain on. Plus, if you get in an accident, insurance may not cover you with a non srs wheel....i chose not to do it, but it didnt stop my bf, who loves his momo lol

if you unplug the light from the console it won't stay on

also, it might be legal in your state.. check the inspection list.. it's legal to disable/remove you airbags in Texas. Oh, and before someone whines about it being stupid to remove your airbags, a good seat, rollbar and harness is far safer than an airbag blowing up in your face.

If you put an aftermarket steering wheel on, do your turn signals automatically turn off after a turn? Seems like I heard somewhere that they dont...

You need to be sure to leave the plastic rotor on. I've heard there are some hub adaptors that force you to remove the rotor that disengages your signals, but have never run into one personally.
