Can i change springs on "ebay coilover"?
I got cheap *** coilovers. They SUK. I want a 1.5" drop, but then stock for winter.
Can i put aftermarket springs (H&R, Tanabe) on the perches, so i can still adjust ride height?
Will it mess up the spring/rate?

You can't use a regular full-length progressive "lowering" spring with height-adjustable perches. Adjustable perch setups use standard linear-rate "race" springs such as Hyperco race coils, Eibach ERS, or H&R race coils. Most Honda coilover applications use springs with a 2.5" inner diameter and 6", 7", or 8" free length, depending on the car and the setup.

i'm also interested as to where you can buy higher quality replacement springs. Unfortunatley when I bought my CRX it had arospeed coilovers on it. I'd like to replace them with something worthwhile.

Re: (thehatchninja)
well any reputable brand coilover slip on systems will ride a ton better than "ebay" systems, look into the megan racing slip on system i have them on stock struts and wheter i have my car just dropped a little or slammed how it usually is they ride very nice. no bouncing never really bottoms out unless its a huge pot hole which i avoid anyways. and theyre extremely affordable brand new. some other quality systems are skunk 2 and omni power.
so instead of wasting your money on different springs just spend the extra dough and end up alot happier.

you can cal up gound control or any major company that manufactures springs, but most likely you're going to have to replace the whole coilover.

eibach ERS springs, 54 apiece. I have arospeed coilovers, there was a thread on here about them. Basically the conclusion was that if you replace the springs they would be a decent coilover.

it's up to you. what do you want to do with the car? drag? autoX? your best bet is when you decide to order them, speak to the rep, they should be able to tell you what's good for your application since they deal with this type of stuff on a daily basis.

i don't think you understand what's going on. I'm looking into buying high quality coilover springs, not lowering springs. These will replace the springs that are on my Arospeed coilovers since they are too short. FYI I would never buy a sleeve coilover, but these came on a CRX that I bought.
But thanks for trying to help and being a dick at the same time. Reading comprehension onwz joo.
