Default can i buy a clue??

ok i start my car, leave, drive 5 miles to highway, geton and gun it as usual. ran it to 6500 rpm and in 4th at 5-5500 rpm it bogged like i hit the rev limiter. ran fine til i hit 5500 the cut out for a sec. drove about 30-35 miles then stopped, disconnected battery and it ran normally. any thoughts on what it might have been??

Perhaps it's your vehicle's own unique way of telling you not to drive 100 MPH on public roads.

Did the check engine light come on? I own a 97 Civic EX. This happened when I hit 100 MPH racing a Jetta on the freeway. My car bogged down, check engine light came on. I couldn't figure out wtf happened so I disconnected the battery and kept on driving. 2 weeks later I threw a rod and blew the engine

I couldn't agree more. If I saw some idiot going that fast I would TRY and get hit by them so they would loose their liscense and I would get a new car.

chances are you probably wont beat a neon in a stock ex, its just the nature of the beast, stock civics arent fast the only way is to swap or force feed that ****

and did you just start your car and drive to the highway and then get on it? might wanna let the car warm up first cold start+beating on it=

Don't street race either.

Tell your boss you will be late. It's not worth killing someone to get there 3 minutes earlier. He will understand if you explain to him where you are coming from. If he doesn't then tell him to **** off.

No i race, i try to race as often as i can. But the track is only open so often

Me and DOHC4Life went racing today actually, got a free DVD and some shirts and cracker jacks out of it

And yes i do shift my car from first to 2nd at about 10mph. I dont want my car crushed on thoughts that im streetracing.
