Default can i achieve low 15's with a jdm d15b civic coupe?

help this newbee out. i have never been to a legal track so i don't know what to expect. also, i don't know whether i would be considered a good driver or not. i don't usually beat the **** out of my car. but, i'm planning to visit the nereast 1/4 mile track before i have to go back to school. my car is a gutted civic dx coupe with a sohc vtec jdm d15b with i,h,e and a vafc and cam gear with a short shifter. its on hx rims with azenis. what's my chances of runnin' low 15's or even getting into the 15's? any tips on where i should launch and where i should shift is welcomed.

I don't see why not. The only things that may hold you back are driving and weight.

put your car on a diet and bring in the octane. also how about throwing a new three plate clutch kit on. there's a good chance of mid 15's.

yeah man you should be able to do it,
hatches do it all the time,

at first i'd say it'd be real hard cuz you have a coupe, but it is a dx, and it is gutted, so you stnad a good chance of hitting 15's.
especailly with all your mods

the lightest cx hatch weighs 2108 for 95 and the 95 dx coupe weighs 2326 so you wont be givin up too much weight compared to a hatch.. and cx hatches with z6's have been known to creep into the high 14's with jus bolt ons...

so id hope you can hit very low mid to low 15's

15's are going to be easily broken by your car, unless you can't drive for ****. I ran consistent 16.5's with my completely stock D16Z6 del Sol which has less HP and a lot more weight...I'm thinking at least a couple hundred since you are gutted.

Plus, you have the bolt ons and some good tires, two things I wish I had for my runs.
