Default Can anyone show me a picture of this?

hey i'm wondering if anyone can get me a picture of a D16Y8 or D16Z6 alternator. I'm trying to see the differences between the two..

if no picture, can anyone tell me how I can tell the difference between the two?

OBD1 is a round plug

OBD2 has a semi-square shaped plug

nevermind i see the inlet.. =P Well its a circular plug so I gets it's OBD1? But he was running it on a D16Y8.... so that must mean theyre interchangable? He also used the Z6 harness on the Y8 I believe and he modified some of the plugs... Do you think that's what he did?

you match the alternator to the harness you use. as far as function ALL alternators are the same.

Most likely they would be able to work inter-changeabley. The only problem I can think of is if the holes to bolt the alternator up to the engine might be different.

sounds like he put a z6 alternator on the y8 using a z6 plug so it'll plug right up.
