Default can anybody tell me where my car is from?

sounds daft i know, i live in england and bought a honda 1999 civic coupe 1.6 vti vtec, 5 years ago and its the "muts nuts" started modding it last year all ive done is add a second generation k&N induction kit and universal back box and this car is good for a top end over 150mph no lie, needless to say things need replacing now, i tried to find brake pads, discs and high flow gaskets etc and now need a new back box, i cannot find parts for this car anywhere in england because the chasis type is em1 and this is not listed in any major after market manufacturers for anything, the engine type is B16A2 and getting anything for this is the same, all chassis types in this country are ej,ek,eg. as i think this is an american site i beleave this could be an american car, it is full uk spec right hand drive and had a uk warrenty, could anybody tell me if this car is an american model and where can i get parts for this type, hell of a way to ask i know but i am stumped, appreciate any help, cheers

Well, if I'm not mistaken, the EM1 is the USDM 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si. It's a Coupe. B16A2 engine (DOHC VTEC). I would be guessing that if you needed parts, best thing to do is search for parts that pertain to the USDM 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si.

But, if I'm not also mistaken, many of the EM1 parts are interchangeable with the EK chassis (being a Coupe of course).
