can a 90 ls motor replace a 94 ls motor

i'm guessing that they are the same. i did a swap for this kid in a 92 hatch and he put an iceman on it and ran through a big puddle and hydro locked it. i don't really know whats wrong inside cause i haven't looked at it yet but i have the oppurtunity to get a 90 ls for cheap. just a block with a head. the block has fresh bearings and rings.

sure just transfer all the elctronics, driver side mount, + change out to the newer thermostat housing

i may be wrong on this..but to registrar it..the replacement motor has to be same yr or later?

Not in Pennsylvania where I think he's from - well, at least I'm guessing they don't. Other staets aren't nearly as bad as California in terms of the "swap police."
