Camshaft holder bolts KEEP BREAKING!!!
So I have a B16a2 that i've been building onto for about a year. I've finally come down to the point where I have to torque the cam plates down(theres about 18 bolts total) I Know the torque spec is 20lbs and I am using the proper torque sequence, my torque wrench is brand new and I also oiled the threads. Iv'e also replaced all of them with new OEM bolts from honda Twice and am currently using easy out to remove them. the only thing I can think of wrong is that i'm using a 1/2 to 3/8 adapter on the torque wrench. Is this wrong???
Thanks in advance,
-Ray

Re: Camshaft holder bolts KEEP BREAKING!!!
im willing to bet that you have adjustable cam gears? and your torquing the little bolts the hold the 2 pieces together...
i have a feeling its inch pounds... not foot pounds on those.
how big are the bolts?
