Cam
Im looking to a get Cam for my car, my 1998 Civic Ex SOCH Vtec, and i was wondering which stage to get. I plan on turboing later on, but not right away, i was thinking stage 2...what do you think? and also what brand would you guys recommend as well?

You only need one camshaft not two
BTW Zex aka Comp Cams makes a great stage 2 cam for your car. And it will be even better when you do turbo it later on with the cam.

First off SOHC means SINGLE overhead camshaft...so you have 1 cam not CAMS.
Second, don't waste your money on a cam for your SOHC, trust me i've gone down that route. Turbo that bitch

cam(s) help with intake and exhaust.. they arent a waste of money.. if they were, they wouldnt of made them. if you're future plans are to turbo the vehicle.. make sure you think more for the long run plans instead of what you want to do now. buy parts for your future turbo setup, but dont install anything yet. saves money on install and you wont have to sacrafice anything in performance now as turbo setups are more directed to lower compression, etc.
get you a cam that will benifit you for a turbo setup. dont worry about an intake, as you will use a custom one for your turbo setup.
you will save so much money if you buy the right parts for the right situation, instead of buying temporary parts to give you some GO now.

Y'know...buying turbo cams for an NA motor...a STOCK NA motor...doesn't seem like a good idea. Just like putting together a built motor with like 9.0:1 CR for a turbo, then wondering why it runs like **** while you wait for money to pick up that T28 or whatever. But maybe that's just me.

I did the same thing dude. I had a 10:1 SOHC with intake, header, exhaust and an exospeed stage 2 cam, and it was tuned with an AFC. I still only ran high 15's in the quarter. It wasn't worth the money. (I never dyno'ed this setup).
So, I sold the cam and pieced together a turbo kit...and I can hang with high 13 second cars on the street.

160 to the wheels isn't all that bad kiddo. I run a turbo SOHC that's basically a stock block at 8 psi daily and run high 13s. Save your money and either turbo it or don't bother IMO. There are much better ways to spend your money than on a cam in a mostly stock SOHC.
Oh yeah, and keep the shitty additude up. One more post with that **** additude in this thread and it's locked. This is a site to help spread information, not to listen to you complain and cry like a 8 year old spoiled little girl.
