Default Cams for 00 SiR

Ive heard crower cams are the best, what do you think? how much extra HP (crank) am I gonna get? Also is this setup good for long term use? I plan on driving this car into the ground.

SPOON/TODA B/EK9 cams are the most ideal setup to me. But those cams like high compression. Say over 11:1 at least. And after u drop in the cams, get your ECU reprogrammed too. That will help a lot on gaining the max outta your engine setup.

**** people, I have never had the toda/jun/crower/spoon cams, but I have had the 00-01 j-spec ITR cams in my first gen b16, which was in my 91 crx. I can only say, holy ****, man! The newest ITR cams combined with my higher compression spoon metal head gasket yeilded my best time of 13.89. I know the crx is light, but damn, there was such a difference in the cams. The idle was perfect, it ran like a stock motor, but when you got on it and the vtec hit, it really hit, like downshifting. Just my personal experience, I have to live and die about it.

Congrats! Glad u like it. U will like it more if u go track days. Coz SPOON cams are made for corners(on/off throttle).

so you put in JDM ITR cams in your B16a2? that sounds even better, what else do you need to mod when you install these cams? Or can you just swap em?

1)ITR/CTR cams
2) R valve springs
- SiR/GSR OEM valve springs stands up to 8200rpm, SPOON/ITR/CTR stands up to 9100rpm
3)retainers
4)reprogrammed ECU
- U can reprogram it according to your own setup

I also highly recommend install a set of clutch and flywheel before the cams, also better tires. Without getting your power transferred to the ground efficiently u can't use the max performance outta the engine.

how much xtra crank HP would you expect? and you think I could use my stock valve springs considering that I redline at 8000? Also probly honda made products is the way to go, rather than skunk or something else. I thinkk.
