california tint...

california tint...
how dark is too dark for the windows in california? i did a little searching but every place says something different. i want to tint my windows soon. front and back. thanks in advance.

back = dark as you want.
front = absolutely nothing
although...with 40% of the people driving around with tint on their front windows, its not common to get pulled over for it...but if you do something stupid and a cop pulls you over, you can count on getting a ticket for whatever you did + the windows

that is the law but most officers let you get away with about a number 2 tint....... but if u get pulled over and they have no legit reason... they will blame the tint...

alacard is correct in california you can not have ANY window tint on your drivers side and passenger side door windows. period.
the reason why people are getting popped for this nowadays is because its been a law that has not been enforced for dacades, and the cities need extra revenue, and its an easy law to follow let alone write tickets for that will not get dropped in court.
kinda like the modified exhaust law.
