CA guys....is it legal to have different make block and head?
Gunna pass the CA referee if there is difference? LS/VTEC for instance...or whatever... thanks!

well I would assume you are asking if it's legal to have a LS/VTEC or B20/VTEC or even h23/h22 hybrid at the ref station... no you can not, block and head must be of the same kind.. so GSR head with a GSR block.. and so on and so forth.. don't forget Ref's check everything and have manuals with them to assist them with any information regarded to the block as well as emmisions

jdm motors are legal.. but you must meet emissions standards that relate to that engine's USDM counterpart

as in they have to have the usdm ecu, manifolds, o2 sensors, and all things that differ form their usdm counterparts, and effect emissions
