A/C Squeek
Okay, summer is here and so is the use of the A/C.
Now when I turn the A/C on at a stop, there is an intermittent squeak. It's not a constant squeak, so I don't feel that it is a belt, but rather a squeek, half second to 2 second pause and then another squeek.
Any ideas as to what it can be?

Almost sounds like it's coming from there...I'm kinda thinking the clutch may be giving up....

Re: A/C Squeek (Ricey McRicerton)
i would guess something to do with the alternator
are you sure the belt is not loose?
my friends screeched whenever he turned on the a/c, lights, or sometimes even radio, and it was just a loose alt belt
check it out
EDIT- reread whole post, my friend i mentioned above did not have a constant screech either it was 5-10 seconds depending on how long it had been since the car was on so definitely tighten up your belt and see if it stops

No damn way. Its hot here and I have to wear long pants/a collared shirt to work. After work I have got to use the A/C or I'll melt into a puddle.

Re: A/C Squeek (Ricey McRicerton)
Seems the clutch is slipping. There must be something wrong with the clutch or yuor compressor is starting to sieze.
Another problem maybe that receiver dryer might be clogged which causes liquid refrigerant to enter the suction of the compressor, which causes the compressor to work harder since liquid is basically hard to compress.
