A/C Questions on 98 Civic CX Hatch
First of all let me give yall some background information on the car. The car has a brand new compressor, expansion valve and drier all from Oreillys Auto Parts. The readings a when gauges hooked up to it are low 35 and high 200-250. The condenser fan turns on every time the A/C turns on.
My A/C blows cold in the mornings and at night but it feels like anytime that the Texas sun shines on it it just blows cool.
Im thinking that either that condenser is clogged or the evaporator is clogged. I need help diagnosis this predicament that I am in because it bothering me enough to want to sell the car. Any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated. The car is located in Dallas, Texas if that helps. It blows cooler on the freeway but not as cold as I think it should.
Help!

Did you have the system evacuated before charging? Was this a self charging job? I did mine myself and did not have it evacuated and I also have some of the same symptoms. Even in the heat of the day 95-100 degrees, my car will get cold inside but it takes a little longer than in the morning and at night.

The A/C system was vacummed and charge by a shop but the parts were installed myself and a friend that is a mechanic.
The shop checked it and told me everything seems to be working fine but it doesn't make sense why its blowing the way it is. I have also checked the air mix door in the heater box and it does get closed when you slide the climate control to max cold.
Any more suggestions?

texas6023 is right the outside heat has a lot to play when it comes to a/c. My car for the most part does the same thing and i have done to the tee what you have done. the way that i have found to make the air cooler or colder is when you have your A/C on put it on recirculate that way the system isnt having to cool hot air from the outside, it just recirculates the already cool air in your car witch intern makes that air even cooler if that makes sense.

thats normal for the outside conditions he is driving in. Pull you blower motor out and check to see if you evap is dirty, and make sure your condensor is clean and bug free and make sure the cooling fins are not smashed in from road debris.

I have already pulled the blower motor and cleaned it. I power washed the condenser today and found out that it looks a bit smashed from the side facing the front of the car
Would that be the cause?
