A/C ISSUES ..MIGHT JUMP OFF BRIDGE.
Please help!!! Has anybody experienced this problem with a/c???
We replaced the condenser and added the proper amount of PAG and vacuumed it down, it held vacuum, jumped pressure switch by grounding out the blu/red wire ..., added 1 can of Freon, unjumped pressure switch..and ac refuses to cut on...all fuses good, all relays good, like I said it cuts on when I jump the pressure switch....low side 38psi high side 85psi-100psi while compressor on...when not on it pressurizes to outside ambient temp 65psi on both low and high....tried replacing ecus, climate controls, and checked all fuses, and replaced relays with known good ones....but I don't think its gonna cut on without a good pressure reading...what could cause this reading...and all lines are oem and there are no leaks...thanks for your time
Any ideas at all??

One more dead thread of similar problem aside from the burning smell and some other small things but similar gauge readings for sure

Yah I need somebody that will have seen this before or know what to do. I got the car under the presumption that all it needed was the condenser replaced, put a pulley on the bracket and put a belt on. The car Was all oem and nothing is rigged, all I've added to the car is jdm cosmetics, so u can be assured the car is not junk. I can't figure this out !!...it's for my midori!! And it's all that's wrong with her

Well first of all your high side looks a little low.
Exactly how much freon did you add? In oz please.
And if you have the proper amount of freon in and jumping the connector at the low side switch gets the system to work, your low side pressure switch is bad.
These things are very simple systems.

We added 12 ounces. if we began to add in the other 1/4 can it would begin to be at high levels for low pressure side. Perhaps the switch isn't broken? Is there a test for the switch ?

Dude.........seriously every single one of your posts are a couple hrs after the other. Take a step back and calm the **** down with the mass-posting. Also you were never suppose to jump that switch to begin with. All you should have done was get the car running, turn on the ac and then allow freon to flow in through the low side. The compressor is suppose to kick on by itself once it detects freon in the system. You're gonna have to test your compressor and the switch.

Dude.....
It's called trying to give as much info as I possibly can so any help that is given is tailored to exactly what I need help with. Thanks for the recommendation though...not...I'm not here trying to sell something I'm looking for real help. And I jumped the pressure switch because my condenser fan is not turning on as well when I press my ac button, it lights up on the dash, like it should...as to why I posted the other threads...really...if you have nothing to help then please..don't waste my time

Is that why your post count is so high, from worthless contributions? Good bye dude. Its not a popularity contest and his problem is different. thank you but no thank you!

If you added the right amount of r134, what did you do exactly?
You may want to download the service manual and go through the propper diagnosis procedure.

We replaced the condenser. We have went through the factory service manual. Nothing says for normal to high level low pressure and low high pressure ??

What car? R12 or R134a? Original or converted to R134a?
I would have posted earlier in this thread, but I'm not the best option for bridge jumpers.

Original r134a. 1996 Honda civic . I tried to give you as much information as possible in my first few posts on the thread, but my mechanic is at his ends and I'm at mine and we are no dummies none of this is making sense. When I jump the pressure switch my system works, so my wiring must be somewhat good. ...its holding vacuum...so no leaks...the button light comes on, and it has Freon, but it doesn't cut on by itself and the fans don't come on when I press the ac button

When you turn key to ON(II), switch on the cabin blower, and press the A/C button, does the condenser fan run?
Why did you replace the condenser? Give some background.

Re: A/C ISSUES ..MIGHT JUMP OFF BRIDGE.
I bought the car and was told hey...it had no belt on cause the condenser is bad...here's a brand new one... Here's a new belt. Put condenser on put belt on recharge and wahlaa..u should have ac....So put condenser on get PAG oil put in amount according to manual put in 12 ounces Freon and no engagement from ac...replace filter/dryer/receiver...
And to answer your question, the only way I can get the condenser fan to run is by grounding the blu/red at the pressure switch. But this in turn also engages the compressor

Re: A/C ISSUES ..MIGHT JUMP OFF BRIDGE.
Sounds like an A/C thermostat or heater control panel issue.
Start at the A/C thermostat.
Plug in all A/C components and then unplug the 3-wire A/C thermostat behind the glovebox. Ground the Blu/Wht wire in the unplugged connector - no need to press the A/C button or turn on the cabin blower but also wouldn't hurt. Now does the condenser fan run and the compressor clutch engage?

Re: A/C ISSUES ..MIGHT JUMP OFF BRIDGE.
And I will tell you it does engage cause I remember grounding a wire under there before to make it cut on also tho, but I would like to perform the task again and replicate it so I know what your asking me to do is exactly what the car is exhibiting

Very good. It will almost surely boil down mainly to an electrical issue, though there is some possibility of an additional issue. Nonetheless, troubleshooting should be straight forward.
