I have a '95 Del Sol S 159xxx miles. I've had it for a month now and yet to have problems, I was driving on a long trip the other day cruised for 4 hours at 80-85 3,4000 rpm with no issues. Put the A/C on and kept going at 80 mph for a bit and I went to pass a truck and stepped on it and the engine started makeing some weird oscillating noise and the check light came on. I got worried and turned A/C off immediately slowed to about 60 at 2,600 rpm and it went away for the rest of the drive but its got me worried about my motor. Anybody had issues like this?? Ideas as to what it was? Thanks.

 

Doesn't sound like an A/C problem.

Step 1 --> Pull the CEL code and post it.
