Default bye bye B16..........new heart for the hatch

I know it's not really tech related but I'm excited, if you could leave it here for a little that would be great.

The old 168.5 whp B16 is just a memory

It got a new heart this weekend

Here's what went in

Old with new

I just like this pic.....t3/t4 57 trim

The end result

Nice

What do you expect that LS/VTEC to put down?

And what was done to the B16?

I'm really shooting for upper 190's or low 200's with the magic touch from Import Builders
And what was done to the B16?
CTR cams, ITR intake mani, chip P28, JDM ITR header, carsound cat, tanabe exhaust, aem cai, porflow/itr valvetrain, mild p+p and 3 angle, v-afc

168.5 was completely untuned, just a baseline pull. With some intense dyno time and tuning 175 should have been achievable.

"Go atleast 1.8 or go home"
You made the right choice
I hope so

I didn't dyno the b16 stock. Baseline, with no tuning for the B16 was 168.5

As for the lsvtec, I'll let you know in about 3 weeks when it's broken in.

I wasn't aware there was a kit. I just pieced it together.

That combination has seen 9200rpm A LOT of times and one 9999 mishift. I can't complain

It's not the ITR outer, Portflow inner set up?
How's the motor feeling by the way, I'm still waiting on my Ls block to begin my conversion - but its still hasn't made it here yet

Nice, however, I kinda wondering if your wheels are 14" TE-37. I have a good friend in Sarasota that have the same Bronze TE-37 but in 14" with the same EK green color. Interesting.

Great photos! Love the new setup. Can't wait to see the numbers.

Is that a B16 head? If not, can I buy some parts off you? i.e. ctr cams...
