at this point you have to decide which one YOU want, opinions are not gonna help.
But If I were you I'd rock the EG as it is in really good condition and its really hard to find an eg in good condition these days.......But I'm partial to the EG...

Well, that front end seems to fit ok. It's just usually not done right, and there are gaps. I know what goes into a 99 front end conversion, and post people just don't do it right.
They're both fine choices. Pick whichever you like best. They can both be saved.

what are your goals?
i wouldn't get the coupe cause it has gay *** DOHC stickers on it and really shiny rims.
and those eyelids hurt me too
the painted drums are embarrassing
but the conversion is clean
the eg is nice, simple, not flashy

Re: (instrument)
i am pretty much doing major mods to the car to make it a show car. No big gay body kits... just a clean/race look pretty much. I think the EG may look better... but the 96 civic has more options on it and it is more comfortable... im still deciding... im getting one of the two tomorrow so we will see what happens i guess
Still open to opinions.
thanks so far

I can't see the pics (at work), is the 96 an EX? If the 96 is Ex i would go for that just solely on comfort (pwr everything), but the EG sounds very appealing with its GSR components. In the end its going to be up to you. I like the GSR dashs, but most of the time they can never get the door panels to look clean.

Money factor...
an EG is hard to find where i live if i do find a half decent one it is going to cost me about $3500
B16 installed by a respectable shop is going to be about $2900
$6400 for a EG with a b16 and nothing else
$4500/$5000 is more in my ballpark as a current daily driver/build

EG ftmfw!, partial to eg's since I used to own one , very nimble and light car, with a vtec motor in it, definitely a good dd/street car. Get either car bar'd legal asap once you buy it, so you don't worry about cops hassling or wanting to "pop" your hood, and going to the ref.
