Default Busted 99 Ignition after theft attempt, hard to replace?

Someone almost stole our 99. Destroyed the ignition cylinder, column looks a little twisted. Thought I would start with the ignition cylinder. Is it even possible to replace the cylinder with it being damaged. Help is much appreciated, thanks.

Yes it is possible to replace the ignition cylinder, I dont know the extent of the damage though, but you have to take apart your stearing colum to remove it. Helms will show you the way

I have decided just to replace the entire column which is only 100$ anways. I dont think the old cylinder would come out with it being all banged up.

Good idea, if it's only $100. Probably not worth the hassle.

Can't you order a new one from the dealer and it would already be keyed for your original keys?

Well. a new cylinder with key is 260$. A used cylinder with key is 75$. Might as well just put the whole column in. I dont want to mess with the cylinder.
