yes, the latch on my carbon fiber hood has ripped off. without resulting to hood pins , because imo they look ugly, is this possible to be fixed. anyone have any good ideas.

imo a broken windsheild, f*cked up roof, ect looks much uglier than 2 little hood pins. Not to mention the safety factor....your lucky you werent going down the freeway.

werd! two hoodpins painted black should do the trick.. much safer than before. .. please don't try to glue that latch back on. it's dead.

i had one hood fly up on me while i was on the freeway,...cracked my windshield and destroyed my CF hood,...needless to say i use hood pins now,...one of my boys latch came off his CF hood also,...but we found it in time before his flew up on him,...what we did was we went to napa and bought this epoxy ****,....i forget the name of it,...but it comes in a dual seringe,....you put some of the stuff onto a piece of paper and mix it,...you must keep mixing it or it will harden,....we used that stuff to put his latch back on the hood,...its been a little over the year now and that **** is still holding STRONG,...very strong and hard stuff,..if you still have the latch then maybe you should go to your local parts store and go into the epoxy section and see what you can find,...but i always recommend hood pins now because of what happened to me
